I am finally back of line.We had some construction going on behind our office on Tuesday and they managed to cut our internet line. I sure did miss not being able to check in on my friends in blogland.
It also causes some tense time when I need to send things to the corp office and I can not get on line. They were to come on Wednesday and fix it but they finally made it today.
I will take my lunch hour and get caught up with you dear friends.
I am sitting here and the weather man keeps telling me about this storm that is headed our way tonight and ending on Saturday. He is telling me we could get up to 14+ inches of snow with high winds to make a blizzard out of it. I would like to voice my opinion here and say I Don't like It!!!. I know that my opinion is not worth anything but I had to let it out.LOL
I guess that this weekend will be a good weekend to get my paperwork together so that my dil who is a CPA can do my tax return.

My baby's new do

Hubs took Maxwell to the groomer and she gave him a bath,trim, along with cleaning the ears & trimming the toenails. He doesn't mind going but when he gets home hubs and I get the silent treatment for awhile. Those bandanna that she gives him I save and then when I have enough I make him a new blanket for his bed out of them. I need about 3 more to make it.

I wanted to take one more so that you could see the cute bandanna but I think that he has selective hearing. He is like all of the men folk in my house they all seem to have that problem.!!!!
Thursday was also my dils birthday. She did not enjoy it to much as she has had the sore throat and has no voice hardly. She did enjoy the ice cream however.
That crud seems to be going around here like wildfire. So I will have to buy some more Lysol towelettes to keep wiping things in our home and hers while I am there. Hubs is just starting to feel better but he is still coughing. He had to go to his doc to get a shot and meds since he is diabetic and has high blood pressure so he can not take over the counter meds.
Well my day here at the office is about done so I will bid you all a blessed and wonderful weekend.

I mentioned a few months ago that we had been put on notice that the Corp office in ND told my boss they were thinking about shutting us down due to the economy.
In Dec he went to ND to the Franchise meeting and was told that they have decided to look into this matter a little longer. We are one the smaller Franchises in the state.
We are like the postal department I guess they have to have a little more time to look into it before they make a decision as to how many of the smaller businesses they are going to shut down. It is all about the Economy right now.
I was happy to hear that we get to stay open for awhile longer. I am hoping to get to September at least so that then I can retire, but that right now don't sound to secure either.
As long as I can come to work I will continue to blog with you dear friends and bore you with my ever so interesting life.

Confused??

I know that looking at my calendar it says January but Mother Nature seems to be very confused.Yesterday we had more robins around than we have in early spring.
The geese have moved in but are not moving on either,they are just thick on the ponds and corn fields. Our temps have been like a yo-yo all winter also. Yesterday we had freezing drizzle and in the low 30s today we are in the 50s for the next couple of days and then colder this weekend. I am not complaining about this that is for sure.
I am just wondering what Mother Nature might have in store for us when the calendar says Spring!!!
Maxwell is going to the groomer Thursday to have a trim and I hope that it stays nice so he can adjust to a little less coat.His coat is getting so ragged he looks like a mop and I can not see his eyes so I don't know what he is up to.

I am going to take advantage of this warm day and go into town after work and buy a few groceries and of course I can not forget to pick up some doggie treats.
I usually wait till Friday to do this but my dil ask me to watch lil T so that she can go to a card party. I enjoy every minute that I can be with him as he seems to be growing so fast.

Friday's Chatter

As I am writing this it is 5* outside and very little sun. We are sure having January weather the last couple of days.
I guess I should not complain about the cold since some of you dear friends are getting that nasty white stuff. So I will just sit here and shake.LOL
I went last night and babysat with Lil T and it is always fun for gramms.He is doing really well in the potty stage now. We played with his new Farm house that he got for Christmas and all of the farm animals. I got scolded when I accidentally called a cow a pig. I guess this old city gram better learn her animals.We then had to watch Land before time and then he decided he needed to go to his bed. I then went back to finish that movie, I guess the kid in me wanted to see how it ended.LOL

I took hubby to his heart doctor and the test showed that he had no real big damage to his heart from his heart attack in Nov. I praised the Lord for that.

My #1 gs is now registered for the National Guard when he graduates from HS. I am so proud of him. He is going to college and go into mechanics and auto design. The guard is going to help him with this also.

I am still having problems chewing solid foods so I am going to have soup for supper and I want to try a new potato soup recipe that I got from one of you dear friends, but I am sorry I forgot who had it on their blog.
